Join us every Sunday
At Grace we believe that, for kids under 12, faith formation encompasses three things:
Our kids should learn and play in the stories of our faith
Our kids should participate in some of our rituals, liturgy and other sensory acts of worship like communion and baptism
Our kids should feel safe, welcome and a sense of belonging in our church!
We do this by providing weekly quality children’s programming where our goal is to teach the stories of our faith throughout the church calendar year. We believe our kids should be free to learn through play, story and song and that Jesus meets them right where they are.
We also have them join us for the first part of worship and for communion. Many of our kids find communion to be their favorite part of Sunday morning. Our kids learn through touch, taste and feel and our rituals are made to help them grow closer to God and their church family.
Lastly, we follow Safe Sanctuary policies, which means that our staff are trained on best practices to keep kids and other vulnerable populations safe in our church buildings and beyond.
For our older kids (12 and up), we offer a yearly confirmation class, which helps our older kids delve deeper into their faith and decide for themselves what they believe and whether they want to take on the responsibility for their baptismal vows. After they complete this class they are confirmed before the church and become full participants in both the business and ministry of the congregation.
